It had shaken her.  

Not as badly as it had shaken me.  

The screams. The fire. Watching three women die like that—  

I’d been reduced to a tear-streaked, blubbering wreck.  

Marissa hadn’t shed a single tear.  

But it got to her.  

I saw it in her stillness. In the slump of her shoulders.”

This was such a good read! I loved every moment!
